 Sweet Alabama Pecan Bread


Ingredients:


1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted


1 cup granulated sugar


1/2 cup brown sugar


2 large eggs


1 cup buttermilk


2 cups all-purpose flour


1 tsp baking soda


1/2 tsp salt


1 tsp vanilla extract


1 1/2 cups chopped pecans



Instructions:


1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.



2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.



3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.



4. Pour in buttermilk and mix until combined.



5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.



6. Fold in the chopped pecans.



7. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and sprinkle a few pecans on top for garnish.



8. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.



9. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
