Garlic Butter Shrimp

 


Ingredients


1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on)


3 tbsp unsalted butter


2 tbsp olive oil


4 cloves garlic, minced


1 tsp lemon juice


1 tsp lemon zest


1 tsp dried parsley (or 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped)


1/2 tsp salt


1/2 tsp black pepper


1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)



Instructions


1. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and black pepper.



2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.



3. Add garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.



4. Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until they turn pink and opaque.



5. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, and crushed red pepper flakes if using.



6. Toss well to coat the shrimp in the garlic butter sauce.



7. Serve hot with rice, pasta, or crusty bread.
