Cream Cheese Frosted Pound Cake
Ingredients
For the cake:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups sugar
4 large eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup whole milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
For the frosting:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2–3 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
2. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with flour.
6. Stir in vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
7. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
8. Cool cake completely before frosting.
9. For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until creamy and spreadable.
10. Frost cake evenly and serve.
